Meet the Robinsons. Their goal is to clean up the little things that are bogging down their financial lives. Jason works as a grant writer for non-profit organizations and is a devoted dad, who puts everybody else first – in his job, and in his home life. His wife, Kia, is a part-time student, a part-time worker and a full-time mother of two.
Adding to the stress are some past debts that are holding them back. Having previously lived in Arizona, this family of four experienced trying times when Jason lost his job and the family lost their home to foreclosure. Coming to Kansas for a fresh start was a struggle, especially with their young sons Brisyn, 5, and Wesley, 3, but they’re looking forward to the challenge.
Paying down debt is just one of the Robinsons’ many goals. They also want to get back into a house, begin saving for their children’s college educations and start planning for retirement. With the help of their financial coaches, this family has the determination to get it all done.
Read the Robinsons’ blog to learn about their progress.
