When we bought a home in 2006 we also needed a washer and a dryer. We went out and got a Home Depot credit card so we could “afford” such luxuries. Let’s move forward in time to present day and we are still paying off that washer and dryer which, ironically enough, we had to sell in order to move here! Are you lost yet? Yeah, I thought so! The point of my message is that we are now in a position to no longer have to depend on credit cards. We may not be able to afford all the wonderful things tomorrow's money can buy, but in the words of Dave Ramsey, we have “Gazelle-like intensity!” We have reached a point in our lives where we no longer want to bear the burden of paying bills all the time and owing money! That is where tonight’s events come in! I hope you enjoy the photos! |

This week I have to discuss the boys! We have Brisyn who is 5, and Wesley who is 3. They are both into this just as much as we are. They have been putting all of their pennies into the piggy bank they got this year for Christmas, all with the intentions of giving it to mom and dad so we can “Win the Big Bucks!” The first time we heard this we laughed and laughed about it. Now it has become our family motto! The boys were discussing in the car the other day that they could just simply ask everyone they saw for one dollar and then put it in their piggy bank. Here's the heads up for the week . . . If you have two little boys come knocking at your door asking for money for no good reason at all, call me. I am probably looking for them!
PS: This week we paid off 6 credit cards!!! Will tell you more about that next week! |
