A lot of Kansas City area families could use Financial Makeovers. With the help of CommunityAmerica financial coaches, four families are getting their chance. After a year, the top family earns $10,000 to pad their savings, the runners-up receive $2,500 – and every family walks away stronger, better and more financially fit.
Now before you curse their luck, the CommunityAmerica Financial Makeover isn’t a “do-over.” It’s a “do-better.” Because while all of us would love to have our financial lives magically made better (“Pass Go and collect $200”), that’s not the way the world works.
Getting financially fit is about doing better from today forward and establishing smart spending, saving and investing habits. And with the “no pain, no gain” training of our CommunityAmerica financial coaches, these four families will feel the pinch of tighter budgets, the sting of strict routines, the stress of bringing order to chaos – the blood, sweat and tears of financial planning.
But, in the end, all of the effort will be worth it, because while one family will earn top honors, all of the families will change more than their finances; they’ll change their lives. And, as a credit union, that’s what CommunityAmerica is committed to doing for all its members.
