Hello, we are the Oleson's!

Since we started this program, we have not made any major purchases (or very many minor ones). Over the last couple of months we wanted to purchase a treadmill. Well after doing a lot of research and looking at different ones, we finally were able to purchase one. The difference we noticed, prior to the teachings of Dave and CommunityAmerica, we would have looked at one store, bough one that looked "cool" and brought it home. Now we know the quality of the one that we purchased, paid cash for it, and really just appreciate it a lot more than we would have before.

Some bad news though, Shannon's mother is in the hospital. Shannon was able to take off of work for an extended period of time since we lowered our monthly expenses down enough that if we had to we could live on one income. Before, it would be credit cards to the rescue and now it's our budget and emergency fund to the rescue. I would have never thought that we would be grateful for having a budget.
